Dan Rooney Receives his Thirty Pieces of Silver

The owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dan Rooney was a lifelong Republican and appeared to be a pro-life devout Catholic. Then last year impressed with some inane speeches he decided to endorse and actively campaign for the the most pro-abortion presidential candidate ever, Barack Obama. Today, Rooney got his compensation. Obama appointed Rooney as Ambassador to Ireland.

I wonder what Colon Powell's compensation will be.

Oh, the Goatlocker link is broke in your sidebar.

LargeBill,

Nicely said....I am constantly amazed at "Christians" who feel they can separate their vote from their beliefs. How anyone claiming to be a Christian can vote for a pro-abortion candidate is a joke.

Doug Kmiec - sure to receive a judicial appointment after proclaiming Obama to be the "best" option for the pro-life cause last fall or some other such nonsense...

Tom,

Link fixed thanks. As far as Powell goes I'm not sure if he really wants an appointment. His reward is just getting back in good graces with family & friends.

Richard,

A joke indeed (and in deed).

Jeff,

Kmiec is sure to get some position. However, being that Kmiec says he is still pro-life I don't know if Obama would put him on the bench. Then again, appointing one "pro-life" lower court judge would allow Obama to pretend not to be a hardliner. One out of a couple hundred appointments will be heralded as balance.
