Specter First Casualty of the Stimulus Fallout???

One aspect of Sen. Specter's decision to switch parties that has not been noted yet is he was one of the "Republican" votes that allowed the massive pork filled crap-sandwich called a stimulus bill to pass. His decision to switch was obviously prompted out of fear of losing a primary battle to Pat Toomey who is a strong fiscal conservative who was emphasizing Specter's complicity in that awful waste filled legislation. I don't think it is an automatic done deal that Specter will win the Dem nomination and if he does he'll still face a tough general election and you can be sure he will be hammered over that particular vote.

Oh come on...the only mild surprise here is this idiot's attempt to say that the RNC has turned so to the RIGHT!!! Yeah... liar!!! YES L - I - A - R When we ALL know the truth is just the opposite... He just does not have the fortitude to hang in... Nope, he caved to the mafia-like ploys of the left.. that's okay... he fuckin SUCKED anyway... We do not need you Specter!! Nope, nada..you are inconsequential, much as you've tried to present otherwise.......

Winky,

No apology necessary. Your comment made me laugh. And you're absolutely right - the most idiotic thing is hearing him and clowns like Snowe bemoan a supposed move to the right. BS! Incrementally, both parties have been moving left over the last few decades. Today, we hear Sen. Hatch assert that Toomey can't win because he is too fiscally conservative. Ridiculous. Do we ever hear Dem leaders claim a fellow Dem can't win because he is too liberal? Of course not. Hatch, Collins, Snowe, Chaffee and Jeffords are just a bunch of reasons not to give one dime to the RNC, RSCC, etc. Contribute to individual candidates who share your views and to hell with the rest.
